Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine at Sea- Feb 2007

I was invited to do a series of presentations on practice management, insurance and business planning on the annual cruise of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine. I was also available for one on one consultation over the course of the week. Below are a few pictures of the cruise and Miami. We left South Miami Super Bowl weekend so there was a lot going on. My wife and I both had a 1967 V.W. Beetle so it was nostalgic to see one in the Cayman Islands. Unfortunately we didn’t have Ferrari’s but we can always dream! A good time was had by all!

2008 KW Academy of Medicine Physicians Talent Night

On April 11, 2008 I organized with Dr. Joe Lee, Dr. Heather Dixon and Dr. Michael Lee-Poy the 3rd Annual KW Physicians Talent Night. This year Hospice of the Region of Waterloo was the beneficiary of our efforts, receiving $5,000 from the night’s events. The venue was fantastic at St. Jacobs Playhouse. The comedy routines from Dr. Ron Pace and Dr. David Rainham had the audience in stitches. Evelyn Stroop entertained us with her bagpipes, Dr. Lisa McFarlane joined Dr. Michael Lee-Poy and Thomas Brown in a couple of fabulous songs. As usual Dr. Rob Lee accompanied not only his very talented daughter Kerri but several other acts as well. Dr. Willy Galarraga besides providing a real Latin flavour with his singing and flamenco dancing, had the audience joining in. Along with the rest of our talented crew of medical doctors singing and dancing, we welcomed the participation of both the Waterloo Campus medical students from McMaster and KW McMaster Family Medicine Residents. With over 300 hundred in attendance a good time was had by all and we look forward to next year.
